Simply tap the Entry Tag with your phone to add it to your Bold app in just a few seconds.

Yes. The Bold Entry Tag uses NFC (Near Field Communication), a secure technology that only works at very short range. Your phone must be held close to the tag, which ensures that access is only triggered at the door itself. The tag does not store any access rights, keys, or user data. It simply identifies which door you are standing in front of. All permissions are managed through the Bold app and verified via Bold’s secure cloud platform before the lock opens. This means your existing access control remains fully in place. The Entry Tag adds a faster way to unlock, without changing how permissions, security, or control are managed.
